Today is Batman day to commemorate the release of Detective Comics #27 in 1939... from Dayoftheyear.comDc Entertainment wants it to be July 23rd for some reason, but today is the anniversary of the release of his first appearance. Even heard a blurb on the radio at work this afternoon about it. I don't have a Tec #27 to read, but I do have this.... -M

Happy birthday to my favorite superhero of all time! I loved Chip Kidd's updated take from last year, it used the original art but infused it with a modern narrative which was pretty neat.

Dc Entertainment wants it to be July 23rd for some reason, This was the release date for the 1989 Tim Burton film. Not sure if there's any other significance behind it.
