So here we are -- a temporary HQ. Please pass this link to any former classic comics poster who you believe would be interested.
Worst case scenario, we customize this into our new home and create a front page (possibly via Word Press as Aaron King suggested) to attract new posters.
What do you think?

I'm pretty surprised and pleased at the outpouring of requests from people whose usernames I don't recognize at all. I think there's a pretty decent chance we could get the board back (even if it's without the posts). I'll keep saving threads; I should be able to get through the Classic Comic Christmases with no problem.
Barring that, as we discussed on Facebook, it would be no problem to get a free message board or even (gasp!) some sort of proper website with a message board attached.

If the board comes back on CBR, that's fine. But if it doesn't, that's fine too. Whatever else was going on, and as much as I like and appreciate Jonah, I certainly got the impression he didn't care about the classics board from this, and I would prefer the board be controlled by somebody who did.
But it's 2:30am here. I almost went to bed a couple hours ago when I noticed all the kerfluffle. I have work in the morning and should really get to sleep.

This is amazing. Thank you! This could easily be that message board. I know how to tweak and customize the heck out of this kind of forum. It will just take time. |

So why was it that Jonah shut down Classic's? It was the one place where good manners ruled. Honestly I was rather surprised.
