Not sure why exactly, but this last week things started moving full speed again. Certainly not complaining about that. Weight loss is weird, though. I didn't do anything different this week compared to the previous few weeks, but I lost a lot more weight. I'm now officially down over 30 pounds from when this thread started. Still have a good ways to go, but I'm happy with the progress for sure.

Great ride home last night - fairly quick despite pretty heavy rain. After weighing before dinner last night, I was hoping for a good weight this morning, and sure enough, leaping off the plateau, I'm down to a new low of 190.2.

Day 140
Today's weigh-in: 230.5 lbs (-3.5 lbs from yesterday, +0.5 from all-time low)
34. 5 lbs down / 50.5 lbs to go
Waist = 45.5" (-.4"), chest = 42.5" (same)
I'm not going to measure myself everyday, but yesterday, after a full 24 hours of being back on the diet, my body was (ahem) "cleansing" itself like crazy, and I just knew there was going to be a difference today. I did not expect to be rewarded so quickly and decisively for getting back on diet. Even if I'm still hovering around 230 lbs by the end of this week, I've made clear gains in my chest and waist. Knowing that helps a lot.
I STILL want to lose weight again though.

My team the Tigersharks are now up 3-0 and we defeated the Water Bearers by the score of 22 to 15. Our coach decided to start the backups today and I only played the 2nd and 4th quarters while my backup played the 1st and 3rd quarters in my place. I scored another hat trick and assisted on two others as well for 8 points for today. Yesterday, I walked the track for 2 miles and that's all the workout that I did in the past three days. My backup also scored a hat trick himself and assisted on 1 other goal for 7 points too. The coach is thinking about having me play the 2nd and 4th quarters and having him opening up for both halves.

Day 141
Today's weigh-in: 230 lbs (-0.5 lbs, back to all-time low)
Waist = 45.2" (-0.3"), chest = 43" (+0.5, mis-measurement previously)
Realized I've been measuring my chest wrong previously. Whereas I've been measuring my waist naturally, I've been pulling the measuring tape around my chest tightly. This doesn't accurately measure the fattiness sagging in the form of tiny man-boobs, so I've corrected today.
Back to the plateau of 230 lbs, but I think the waist change is real. Yesterday, I was tempted by a billion things. There was homemade cake in the teachers' lounge that looked amazing, Halloween cookies, and salted, chocolate dipped caramel corn, and I attended a training in the afternoon where they offered free lunch. I resisted all of this, but, when the training dragged on to 5pm, I got very hungry and ate entirely too many cheese and crackers. I made up for it though that evening, skipping my evening bowl of yogurt. That put less food in my stomach at the end of the day, which should leave less food in my stomach this morning. I foolishly thought that might cause me to dip below 230 lbs (yeah, right. Been there for five or six weeks now), but that's probably where the waist change came from. Thus, if I return to my normal eating habits tonight, I might see a waist increase tomorrow...
Anyway, I'm back on diet and doing well with that. I'm going to be happy about that part and maybe not drive myself crazy by tape measuring every day.

Down to 190.0 today, which (just) gets me entry to the -30lb club. No bike today, so may well be out of the club again by tomorrow

Things I'm doing to finally get to frickin' 229 lbs by tomorrow:
1. Planks this morning. My belly is getting floppy with all the loss, so I figured toning would be good. Plus, when I work my abs, I tend to feel less hunger during the day.
2. Skipped lunchtime yogurt. Normally, I have my salad AND a bowl of non-fact yogurt to kill cravings and make me feel full, but I didn't need it today after planking.
3. Planked when I got home from work.
4. Maybe I can skip my after-dinner yogurt too.
Long term, this is not wise. The majority of my protein and calcium for the day comes from the yogurt, but if it jumpstarts me moving in the right direction again, it's worth it for a day. After that, maybe I can get down to one bowl of yogurt a day plus planking. Can't promise it's doable, but why not try?
So, essentially, ALL I am eating today is two salads.
With no dressing.
Just spinach, red onion, egg white, turkey bacon, and diced chicken (and not much turkey bacon or diced chicken either).
That's it.
That's how I always do it.
But now no yogurt to go with it.
Damn well better get me to drop a pound.

It's a digit day - not really sure why I've suddenly droppped, but I'm down to 188.2.
Closing in on my lowest weight for about 10 years, which was ~183 (don't know exactly, as it was 178 on my old scales, which turned out to be under-reading by about 3%)

35 lbs down / 50 to go
I don't know what else to do anymore. Could I have been any more extreme in my efforts than I was yesterday? For whatever reason, this seems like a barrier I just cannot cross no matter what the heck I do. I am so frustrated.Started getting ready for the day, realized I had to pee again, and bam. I'm 229 lbs. Barrier = broken.
