Last weekend's binge weight seems to have mostly dropped off/out, back down to 166.2 today.

Still on my road trip. Currently in Wyoming. I've still been using my resistance bands and/or weight lifting when there is a fitness center in a hotel every second day and running for 30 minutes inside/outside for every day in between. Unfortunately my eating has suffered the last week plus. Even my portions. So I'm not sure if I'm really going anywhere. Today I'm going to try hard to focus on better choices in addition to portions. Also, I think I finally know what it feels like to be slow. I was doing my run this morning which was outside in Jackson Hole where I'm at, and I thought I was going at a decent pace which is my usual. This girl young blonde girl with a long ponytail who looks about twenty startles me by blazing past me on right side. For a nanosecond I thought maybe I should try to keep up, but that idea went out the window instantly and she just continued to separate until she was almost out of viewing distance. To make it worse when I had about a minute left she had turned around to go back the way she had come. I couldn't even look at her (although I don't look at anyone anyways when I run). It was funny overall to me, and I'm not taking it that seriously. If anything, her timing served as a boost for me to finish my run. I stopped thinking about how tired I was and just thought about finishing. Hopefully I can be that fast one day.

It reminds me of a vacation I took with my first wife to Nassau. We ran most of the days we were there. Maybe we were the ones blowing past the older runners back then.

Managed a slightly less excessive weekend, on a visit to my folks. Cycling continues good, gradually increasing my mileage though balancing that off with gym days - have decided to put off the heavy gym work until autumn and just concentrate on bike mileage over the summer,
After another blip up (thankfully smaller this time), I am at last under 164 again, after more than 2 week over, at 163.8.

I'm 28. Am I already ancient history? Yeah, that's pretty much when the rot sets in - pretty much all downhill from there (I'm nearly 55, and the lightest I've been since I was in my early 20s and probably the fittest I've ever been, though that's as much a commentary on my prior lack of fitness as my current fitness)

Weight currently oscillating between 166 & 168 with no real progress. Really struggling for motivation to get in the gym. Cycling going pretty good, though bike off the road for the next couple of days, which has put a severe dent in my hope of getting in 500 miles this month.

avoiding the scale, as we just got back from 6 days in Tampa, and the food-lifestyle-plan not only went out the window, it blew out the door like a decompression in space. not only did I eat Burgers, Pizza, Fried Chicken (tho luckily NONE of it was from fast food places, so it might have been a *little* better for me), but I also had cookies, Ice Cream (twice), cheese cake, and I caved and had soda a couple of times . . yeah, after 10 months of no soda. I DID go for my walk on the day after we got back, and I'll go again today, but i'm having a terrible time getting back on the portion control part of my diet. so not gonna weigh for a couple of weeks, since I'm pretty sure I put on between 5-7 lbs. . .hey, we were at theme parks. yeah, lots of walking and moving around, but what are you gonna do, eat salad on vacation???

Damn. Gained some weight on my road trip. It's over now and I'm in Macau and I weighed myself after a run at the MGM living residence's gym area (my mother in law has access lucky for me) and when I was done I noticed I was at 179. This was a morning run where I hadn't eaten anything yet and had already had a morning tinkle prior, which is usually the best indicator I find for seeing my lowest weight. I was at 179. About a month ago I was at 173 at my lowest. So that was a little discouraging. Could have been worse I suppose. Fortunately the USA road menu is history for now. I am anxious to finally get back into a real gym though which I'm going to check out today at the new residence I'll soon be living at. I went there once before on a prior trip to Macau at it was nice.

I gave in and weighed. . tho I really shouldn't have. I got back on my plan, and tho still eating too much in qty, back to eating no junk/sweets (other than fruit), and did my 1hour walk on Sat, Mon, Wed. . but still gained 3 lbs so I weigh 178.6 as of this morning. now I realize, that's still about 67 lbs down from where I started. . but still, it's disappointing.

Down to 266.5 and hopefully get closer to 264 by 7-10 days from now.

now I realize, that's still about 67 lbs down from where I started. . but still, it's disappointing. I think that flipping the switch and going from losing into maintenance is (almost?) as hard as losing weight in the first place - there's a definite temptation to feel "I've made it" and ease off whatever restrictions you've introduced to get down to a weight, and it's then hard to find the balance that allows you to keep down to your new weight.

In my news, I'm 165.0 today, again, the same weight as I was exactly a month ago. Which would be good news if I was trying to maintain at that weight, but not so good as I've been trying to lose. Weight slowly coming down though - I seem to have possibly broken out of the 166-168 cycle, but there's anoher family event this weekend, so who knows what I'll be starting next week with.
