How many times have you encountered someone with the same name as a comic book character or creator? I recently posted about the British MP named Simon Kirby. A few years ago back on CBR, I posted about my former co-worker Rick Jones. This morning, the newspaper informed me that Barry Allen (no relation) had been involved in a serious car accident: www.oregonlive.com/portland/index.ssf/2015/05/cyclist_who_lost_leg_survives.htmlWho have you encountered?

Ray Palmer was a real-life editor for, I believe, Amazing Stories-an SF pulp digest from the 40s and 50s. I think I heard Julius Schwartz named the Atom's civilian persona in Ray's honor

IRL I've only met one person named Alicia, and her last name was (is)--Masters! She's 30-something and not being a comic book reader, she'd never heard of the FF character until the FF movie in which Kerry Washington played Alicia. She said her parents weren't aware of the character either.
In the FF comics Alicia, who was introduced in FF #8, didn't have a surname--on panel anyway--until #49 when the Silver Surfer came crashing through her studio skylight. The "Masters" surname had been suggested by a reader in the lettercol a few issues before #49 as a tie-in to Alicia's step-father, the Puppet Master (who had no civilian name at that time).

Also tangential: was Paul Simon a Marvel fan? Lyrics for his 50 Ways to Leave Your Lover (emphasis mine):
You just slip out the back, Jack Make a new plan, Stan You don’t need to be coy, Roy Just get yourself free Hop on the bus, Gus You don’t need to discuss much Just drop off the key, Lee And get yourself free
