I have to say that after seeing this trailer, I am very much relieved. This looks like another winner for DC!

Okay, now I'm really psyched for this show. The DC television people (like the folks handling the MCU) do a good job at retaining what's important from the comics without being slavish bound to it. I'm not surprised by Melissa Benoist, though. I've only seen her in Whiplash. She didn't have a huge amount of screen time in that, but she was great in every scene was in.
Looks like Supergirl is following the pattern of Arrow and The Flash of everyone and their mother learning the hero's secret identity.

I'm not sure how I feel about this more alpha-male version of Jimmy Olsen. I've always preferred Jimmy to be more of an in over his head dork.

After watching this You Tube Clip - I say this and I just can't believe I'm saying this - but this show on CBS will fare well with all viewers and should be a successful one too. I was surprised to see Calista Flockhart as Cat Grant and Mehcad Brooks is set as Jimmy Olsen of whom I have some concerns with. Spoilers LinkSpoilers LinkHollywood Reporter After seeing this clip and I have grave concerns about the lighting of her costume and I say it's not that bad and I would say this - I think that this show have potential to even have a crossover with either Arrow and/or Flash. I would love to see this in the 2nd season when the show is getting some steam. I'm on board with this.

I live in a world in which this is the third live action Cat Grant.

This trailer makes me both happy and frustrated. It makes me happy because it looks great and I'm always glad to see a well-done Superman-related show on TV. It frustrates me because it's yet more proof that DC/Warner can actually produce a comic adaptation that isn't stuck in the "dark and gritty" mold. The film division really needs to take some cues from the TV guys.

I know where I'll be at 7pm Central on Monday nights. Interesting that it will be opposite Gotham. I hope the CW keeps their hero shows out of the way.

This is amazing. I am really looking forward to this show. I never would have thought that I would like anything about Supergirl. Sometimes its nice to be wrong.
