Not sure how much credence to give to this one...supposedly Jaden is a big fan of DC and has an in with his dad playing in Suicide Squad. It comes form a comment actor Tyler Jesse Williams (of the Walking Dead) during an interview when the question of young black super-heroes was brought up, saying it was great to see Static would be happening with Jaden...

I was under the impression that Milestone Media had ended their relationship with DC/WB (or vice-versa) and DC/WB no longer had the rights to the characters, and Milestone Media was prepping some kind of relaunch outside of DC, but I could be wrong. Have to see if any official word of this come forth, if so I'd bet San Diego would be the place...
