I'm not surprised at all about Wicked and the Divine.. it screams 'I'm only writing this comic to get a movie'. I've become less and less of a Gillen fan the more I've read of him, and this was the last book of his I'd get without being wowed by the concept.
I wish it gret success, though, since I have the 1st couple issues I'd be happy to have them be valuable.
Lumberjanes is a bit more perplexing, it's a fun series, but a movie? I could see a cartoon, but a movie will probably lose the 'vibe' and come off as at best campy (see Scooby Doo).

I'm sitting on four issues of Lumberjanes, but I haven't read a single one yet. Got to change that.

I didn't love it, but it was decent... I'm definitely not the target audience. Your daughter is, though. My daughter, at 14, thought it was 'cute', but didn't show particular interest to stick with it.

Interesting. I'm trade-waiting both. I have the first Lumberjanes volume...interested to see how they'd do a movie. I haven't got the 1st Wicked & Divine volume yet (is it out?).
