www.hitfix.com/harpy/exclusive-wonder-woman-is-not-pleased-with-what-the-amazons-have-doneI really like what I'm seeing here with Wonder Woman trying to resolve the situation with the Bug-Queen without resorting to violence first. I also like that Dessa seems genuinely remorseful about the death of her brothers. The revelation that only 20 of the Amazons participated in the slaughter is a bit of a relief. Perhaps those same 20 are the only ones who participated in the raids over the years as well? I'm probably dreaming here but it would sure be nice if only 20 of the Amazons were sex-pirates/murderers.

Not having read any Wonder Woman in almost ten years, I have to say I'm disappointed in them falling back on a plot that was already old and tired by the time of Amazons Attack! -- Diana has to temper the excessive destruction and violence of her sisters.
I miss when Paradise Island was an ideal. Can't someone go back to exploring that as opposed to playing up the easy disillusionment and angst angle once again?

Azzarello started this behavior with the Amazons in issue #7 and never resolved it. Without spoiling too much about the Annual, I will say that Finch finally resolved things with the Amazons.
