First Comics, back in the 80's, had the best line up of any of the non-Big Two including American Flagg !, Starslayer, Grimjack, Badger, Dynamo Joe, Warp, E-Man, Dreadstar, Whisper, Lone Wolf and Cub, Jon Sable, Nexus, Classics Illustrated, and more. Well, First is back in the smallest way and merged with another company from the turn of the century, Devil's Due. The new company is called Devil's Due / 1First Comics (though being 1First Devil's Due would've been a less clunky name and put them at the top of any alphabetical listing). They're bringing back Badger with a great Paul Pope cover Hope to see more characters from the past and am interested in Devil's Due previous Squarriors, whom I'd never heard of until today

Loved First, particularly Nexus and Badger. I think I have at least a couple years worth of their promo flyer, First Edition, too.

Well let's hope First actually gets books out this time, they came back like a year and a half ago and then failed to launch, hence the merger with Devil's Due, who is a shadow of it's former self as well. I wish them well and will kepp an eye out to see what they put out I want to check out.

I certainly wish them luck.
Loved First, and got a little Devil's Due (Micronauts).
They're eschewing Diamond, but that mostly killed Future (remember them ? Dick Giordano, David Michelenie, Bob Layton).
I wish these defunct companies would find a way to at least continue the adventures of their characters publishing through Image, or someone else. I'd like to see the Atlas characters again, for example.

Someone I knew on the old board sent me a box of the stuff he had lying around because he couldn't move it anywhere at any price. Grim Ghost, Wulf, Phoenix and a cross over series called Atlas United. It was spearheaded by Jim Kreuger, the guy who did all the Earth X stuff with Alex Ross. -M

I heard about the Badger when I was in college. He and his story sounded interesting, but I never actually saw a copy of the title.
I might be interested in checking this out.

That's part of why I dropped them.

A lot of the Comixology Submit stuff is really good.

I kinda always thought the Badger might have been an influence on the creation of Deadpool. I think you can definitely see parallels in how both characters act. I'd have to think Liefield and the guys that created the character knew the Badger series.
