Z2 Comics, which impressively began publishing comics (as Zip Comics) with a Harvey Pekar graphic novel on his hometown of Cleveland, is launching a creator-owned periodical comics line this fall. The rollout will introduce three new titles in Q4, one new title each month beginning in October. All three titles will be 32 pages, $3.99.

Carver: A Paris Story is the first chapter in a serialized homage to the Hugo Pratt classic Corto Maltese by Paul Pope protege Chris Hunt. Set in 1923 Paris, It will bring "a modern edge and sensibility to classic, serialized adventure storytelling," Hunt said. Carver: A Paris Story launches in November.
