I tried those GL issues of Hal after Kyle became Ion, but I have since traded them out (for someone who actually convinced me to read Bendis Daredevil). But I have to say I am partial to Star Sapphire, as that was her first appearance. It was the only issues I own that I liked until I gave up on the series.

I liked Ion and the later GL family of titles, much to my surprise. Speaking of surprises, much as I hate practically all things Bendis, the sole exception is Daredevil. Hope you're enjoying it.

I'm not fan of Hal, is what it mostly is with the GL title. Maybe I'll give Ion a try. I liked Kyle as Ion moderately when he was still doing the GL title. But I never read his self titled series.
This was years ago when I traded those. I haven't read it again since, but I don't remember being overwhelmed or underwhelmed for that matter with Bendis' DD. But I am really not much of DD fan either. So a lot of it comes out as indifference in general, I think. Maybe I should give it a try again soon.

TBH, Hal is the least interesting GL IMO.
I like the other 3 - Guy, John and Kyle - all better than Hal, though I don't hate Hal.
Actually, I liked him best with his breakdown as Parallax. I could understand him wanting to use his power to make things right or better.

I just read Final Night, again, just this week, and yeah it really fits him. Him being the Spectre seemed a good fit too, of the few issues of it I have in GL.
