SO what is it with you guys and the new franchise ? I love the incredible detail given to all the comics (and their reviews, especially)....but there's literally been no mention of the last film "War for the Planet of the Apes" (which, if I hadn't looked it up, I wouldn't even know that there is a comic adaptation for)... or the upcoming new film. Do y'all even have any interest in the fact that there's a new movie coming out in two months (for which there will surely be some novel and comics tie-ins) ?

Just read the review of the second issue of the new series and (spoiler?) the infamous Alpha-Omega bomb appears.

I'm interested in this series, but I just hope it's better than the 2023 "Fall of Man" series (also on the new 20thCentury Fox imprint)...I'm almost through it but so far "Fall of Man" is strictly B-Tier writing and artwork, and it's been a slog just getting through it....which sucks, because I've been watching the reboot series (does this Timeline have a name ? I've been referring to it as the "ALZ Timeline" in reference to the ALZ-113 virus which the story revolves around). I'd give it about a C/C- rating as of Issue #4. 

The "Beware" series will hopefully be better, especially since I'm a fan of "Beneath...", and generally feel that it's the most under-rated film in the Mark I franchise.

I wouldn't read too deeply into that note. The series does nothing to align itself with film continuity, and there was a last minute shuffling prior to the printing of that first issue where they even get the credits wrong because it was supposed to be Gerry Conway project and it got turfed to Doug Moench at the last second.
