September 1996... Was it already twenty years ago?
Cerebus #210. Great art by Sim, even if plot-wise we seem to be treading water.
Fantastic Four #1. Oh, what an unpleasant comic that was, despite Lee's eye-candy. I didn't buy any more FF from that run.
Hellblazer #107, continuing the excellent and underappreciated Paul Jenkins/Sean Philips run.
Iron Man #1. An interesting concept for the reboot of the series, a downright cool if bizarre new armor, and a promising setting for the Heroes Reborn universe : that all its major scientists were initially like the Knights of the Round Table before going their separate ways. It gave this new universe a sense of unity that made it "one story". This first issue warranted my buying issue #2.
Preacher #19. Continuing one of the rare excellent comics published by Marvel or DC in the mid 90s.
So much stuff in those days, and so much of it bad.
