Kickstarter is really becoming the platform of choice for classic comic book greats looking to return to their works!

A lot of those classic books may have a fanbase, but it's not a big enough fanbase to support enough sales to get carried by Diamond or to interest/qualify for a company like Image, so sometimes it is a matter of being the only recourse not the platform of choice. The emergence of Kickstarter has allowed for the reemergence of books that have perhaps shrunk to a size too small to continue in the traditional direct market without a boost, as well as a platform for launching new properties that do not have an audience yet.
