CBR articleblinks, looks again at headline in my mailbox, clicks on article, blinks, reads it again, checks calendar to make sure it's not April 1 again.... Grant f-ing Morrison. Well I'll be a monkey's uncle...never saw that coming. Guess he is done writing for DC or other companies for a while.... -M

There was a little scare a while back about them going out of print. Hopefully Morrisson can shake things up a bit.

I think it's a great idea. Morrison's specific talents are far better suited for a publication like Heavy Metal than Marvel or DC. This should have happened years ago.
Now we just need to convince Alan Moore to start accepting some of that film adaptation money, buy Vertigo from DC, and appoint himself EIC. All then will be right in the world.

Far more likely Karen Berger starts a new imprint (with a major book publisher for OGN content possibly) or her own publishing house somewhere and draws Moore away from the Avatar pit he has fallen into. -M

I cry every time I see Alan Moore's name on an Avatar title.

Much as I loathe Morrison on traditional superhero titles, this is absolutely where he belongs. I might even read it.

Totally unexpected but could be good. The names he threw out are all the same ones I would have thought of if asked the same question - Druillet, Bilal, Moebius, Corben, etc. And I like the idea of him writing a regular feature.
