I've definitely done that with Saga (Which get in trades)... I think other than the last one, I read the whole series again after each one came out.

And it's not that hard to do! It takes me on average 10 to 12 minutes to read an issues of Saga. Comparing that to reading those Marvel Silver Age issues (that easily take me 25 to 30 minutes, particularly if I pay close attention to the art) is jarring.

Uncanny X-Men is still terrible.

Read The Hangman #2 yesterday, at this point I'm just happy that Archie/Dark Circle is getting around to releasing other books besides Black Hood. Really solid issue, definitely has a Ghost Rider/Spawn vibe to it

I bought 13 issues of Batman '66 based off the glowing reviews over here.
And it's AWESOME so far

Silver Surfer #1 was wonderful. I want Dawn Greenwood to get her own Netflix show.

Well I'm catching up with a lot of you folks, I really dislike the new Avengers books, ALL of them. Which I can honestly say is the first time since Heroes Reborn (the Image books). The new X-Men books are all dead to me now too. I had big hopes for the Squadron Supreme book after the enjoyable SW mini, but that's lame, and as much as I love the Inhumans there is nothing worth reading there either. I do like Captain Marvel but loathe Kris Anka's art so that's a no go for me now as well.
However I have discovered the wonders of Hell-Cat, Moon Girl, and Doctor Strange so there is hope for Marvel for the next 6 months til theyre all cancelled.
Loving Scottie Young's I Hate Fairyland too...just thought I'd throw in a lil plug.

I agree with pretty much all of that - I'm not feeling any of the Avengers books or most of the X-books either: so far Extraordinary X-Men is just about holding me, All-New has been largely awful, and Uncanny is just crap. This is shaping up to be the first time since I returned to comics just after Disassembled that I will have dumped all the Avengers books. Actually, I take that back - Ultimates has been pretty good, so that's currently a keeper.
I keep reading Captain Marvel, and hoping one of her series takes off, but so far, none of them have risen above mediocre, and this one is not off to a great start - like you, I'm not a fan of the art.
Moon Girl, Dr Strange and Hercules have all been worth reading, and Thor continues to be; I'm less convinced about Hellcat - one issue was fine, two issues and I'm feeling symptoms of cutesiness overdose. Pretty much as I expected, the post-Secret Wars era has proved to be a massive jumping-off point - I've sampled a lot of series, but very few of them feel like they have staying power, and several staples (Avengers, Iron Man, Cap, ...) have broken my reading habit by the suspension of their normal series, and have not done anything to make me want to reconnect.
Throwing in plugs - first issues of Dreaming Eagles and Super Zero were both pretty good.

I get what you mean about cute wearing thin quite quickly, I bought the first 6 issues of Groot, but was well over it by then.

Am I the only that is a fan of Anka's art? It's the main reason I'm getting this incarnation of Captain Marvel.

Since Chew will be finishing up here fairly soon I thought I'd start a re-read.

The first issue of Old Man Logan surprised me. Lemire and Sorrentino are fantastic together and the story wasn't at all what I was expecting.

Just read the first two issues of Scarlet Witch, and really enjoyed them. Wanda is actually competent for once, and the art is gorgeous.

The art is very pretty to look at, but I found issue 2 in particular to be really difficult to actually read.
