From Warner Bros. Television and DC Entertainment unveiled Oliver Queen's new "Arrow" duds at Comic-Con International on Saturday. Before the image came online, however, Stephen Amell himself appeared before the rabid SDCC crowd in full gear. As you can see in the video below, not only did Amell -- in full Queen character, mind you -- show off the armored-up outfit, he also referred to himself for the first time as "Green Arrow." Emphasis on "green." Take a look below: "Arrow" season four is scheduled to debut Wednesday, Oct. 7 on The CW. Earlier this week, Neal McDonough was announced as playing Damien Darhk, a major antagonist for the new season.

looking at it closely I clearly see the New52 influence.
That being said i have to say i really like it. Notice that all of the fletchings on the arrows are totally Bright Green as opposed to the (dark green and yellow fletchings in the seasons 1-3) It also interested me that Stephen made a point of emphasizing Star City over Starling City. Ray Palmer introduced the idea of the renaming at the beginning of season 3 butr they never went anywhere with it.

I think the costume looks great, but I'm curious as to how all this is going to play out. Oliver Queen was outed as the Arrow, resulting in Roy taking the fall. It seems sort of silly to say he can't be the Arrow anymore because his secret ID was compromised, so instead he'll be the *Green* Arrow. Obviously, since the show is supposed to be about his ascent to Green Arrow, he has to maintain an archery theme, but it just seems kind of tortured logic to say this undoes any suspicion of him being a costumed vigilante.

I love the costume and direction of the series. I also look forward to seeing what they have in store for Black Canary and Speedy.

I see your point. However, maybe now that he's "Green" Arrow, maybe Oliver will take on a more light hearted approach to the character like in the comics, to throw people off from the dark "Batman" character that the Arrow was.
I like the show, but if I think it's time Green Arrow be Green Arrow instead of a Batman wanna be.

I like the show, but if I think it's time Green Arrow be Green Arrow instead of a Batman wanna be.I don't know -- in principle I have nothing against a more lighthearted approach to the Arrow, but we already have a CW/DC show with that tone. Keeping things more on the serious side is one of the ways Arrow differentiates from the Flash, so I'd hate to see them lose that. If they chose to go drastically different in tone, it could alienate the fanbase that wants a darker take on the character. If they did that, I could easily see it being a jump-the-shark moment.

Well I'm thinking Oliver might lighten up now that the last season ended with him driving off with Felicity Smoak. The only thing I worry about is that this season ended with Ollie hanging up his arrows to be with Felicity, something drastic may happen to Felicity to where he might go back to Superhero mode. I would hate that cause I really like her character.
BTW it's also been rumored that Diggle may get a costume for Season 4. It's also been hinted by fans that he "might" be a Green Lantern John Stewart type. If true which I doubt, I think David Ramsey would make an awesome GL even if his last name is Diggle instead of Stewart. Come to think of it, it would be cool if they ever did introduce The Green Lantern Corps on Arrow, cause my favorite period in DC Comics was the Green Lantern/Green Arrow team up stories.
