^But Annual #2 came out in 1965 so wouldn't that mean it is the first American reprint then?

Did Steve Ditko ever sign a comic or anything other than some fan letters he sent back to people? Is there a way to check CGC to see if they ever graded a copy f a comic signed by Steve? I would think something like this would be one of a kind

Did Steve Ditko ever sign a comic or anything other than some fan letters he sent back to people? Is there a way to check CGC to see if they ever graded a copy f a comic signed by Steve? I would think something like this would be one of a kind He did, but very rarely, and I don't think he signed anything with a CGC witness since the company started. If they have graded a book with his signature, it would likely have a Green "Qualified" label noting writing on the cover that says "Steve Ditko," but not verifying it was actually him. Or, if it's on the inside, it would be a Blue "Universal" label, with the same note. As an example, my Avengers #1 was signed on the inside by Stan Lee in 1989, long before CGC; it has a Blue label with a note that says "'Stan Lee' written on inside front cover." But Ditko did sign books in the past. He was actually the main guest at the first ever comic con, which was New York 1964. There were only about 50 fans there, but he apparently signed books for them that day. I have seen one or two photos of books he signed way back in the 60's - I think if my memory serves, I saw a scan of an Amazing Spider-Man #9 with a Ditko signature on it.

Yeah I have seen that same ASM #9 image...his signature is in black marker on the cover, which people seem to think is forged. It's the only image of a comic I can find that may have his signature.

So recently I acquired Web of Spider-Man #18 which commands a hefty $15-20 price tag on a lot of online auctions. Thankfully, I only spent a couple bucks on my copy. I read it and....well....where is Venom in this!?!? It says he appears in the shadows...is it the end page when Peter is pushed onto the train tracks? A human hand does that though. I am perplexed. For an issue commanding so much it really seemed to have nothing to do with Venom/the symbiote/ Eddie Brock, which I was under the impression it would.

The connection was made much later(I think Brock mentioned it in AMAZING # 300 ). I'm surprised the one or two issues of SPECTACULAR during the Sin Eater saga in which Brock appears(following up on a dead end) aren't similarly jacked up in price.

A newbie on another forum is looking for a story he read in a British horror comic some years ago:
"It was in an issue of a Vault of Horror/Tales From The Crypt type comic in the late 70s/the early 80s, and I am trying to track it down.
The story centres around a honeymooning couple who are on an ocean cruise liner. Everything is going fine until the crew of the ship pick up a survivor in a lifeboat. This survivor is infected with some kind of virus/disease which is spread by contact with another person and compels the infected individual to pass it on to any uninfected in proximity (similar to the Crossed virus, or the Rage virus). It also mutates the infected to a (slightly) larger size and makes them ugly (oversized forehead, deep-set eyes, like the Hulk, or Ben Grimm).
The newlyweds manage to barricade themselves in their cabin until they are the only ones uninfected, but as the infected try to break in, they decide to climb out of the window and take their chances in the sea. The husband manages to climb outside, but as his wife is climbing through the window the infected break in and someone grabs her ankle, passing the virus to her, and the husband is forced to abandon her.
I'm pretty sure it was in B&W, but the memory is dim; it was almost 40 years ago and I only read it once, I didn't own the comic!"
The story may have been a reprint from an American comic, so the question is open to everyone.

Is true, that the Star Wars Movies (future) are dead? ... I just came back from Lunch with a friend and he told me this and I was a bit surprised by this.

Although the spin off movies might be slow in coming after the Han Solo disappointment.

Thanks and I think these movies are "technically dead" for now and I was kind of sad about it and what you said about underperforming and the backlash and all that it's doesn't look good at all.

Between your answer and Confessor -- makes sense and I can see where Slam_Bradley was saying and I can see the future of these movies that might come to the end or momentarily on hold for awhile as we speak. Thanks for everything.
