Much more so, yes. The Twinkie and similar ads were quaint... charming even. They were inventive, applicable and occasionally even mildly entertaining. Although back in the day I would periodically be annoyed when it would take me a second to recognize it was an ad and not the next page.

I didn't realize this until just now, but I had a Twix bar after lunch, a few hours after reading the first post about it. I already had the candy bar in my freezer, so maybe it's a coincidence, or maybe advertising does work!

Unfortunately, it leaves him powerless for about a day. The last time it was used in Superman #42, someone walked up to him and touched him while he was using the super flare and his powers have been stuck at a low level ever since.
