A few weeks ago, fans learned the exciting DC news that not only would Hawkman join Ciara Renee’s Hawkgirl in 2016′s Legends of Tomorrow, but also that we’d meet the character even earlier on either Arrow or The Flash. As it turns out, both! Reckless star Falk Hentschel will don Hawkman’s wings, first appearing as Carter Hall in the end-of-year crossover event. Per The CW, Falk’s character will emerge as latest reincarnation of an Egyptian prince reborn throughout time, who taps into the powers of the Hawk God, Horus, much like his fellow reincarnated soulmate, Kendra Saunders (Renee). Falk will reprise the character beyond the crossover for Legends of Tomorrow itself, though it remains to be seen how extensively he’ll figure into the new series. So reads the official Legends of Tomorrow description: When heroes alone are not enough… the world needs legends. Having seen the future, one he will desperately try to prevent from happening, time-traveling rogue Rip Hunter is tasked with assembling a disparate group of both heroes and villains to confront an unstoppable threat – one in which not only is the planet at stake, but all of time itself. Can this ragtag team defeat an immortal threat unlike anything they have ever known? Set for 15 episodes (to start), thus far we know Legends of Tomorrow will include among its cast Dr. Martin Stein (Victor Garber), Jay Jackson (Franz Drameh), Ray Palmer (Brandon Routh), Hawkgirl (Ciara Renee), Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller), Heat Wave (Dominic Purcell), Caity Lotz, and time-traveler Rip Hunter (Doctor Who alum Arthur Darvill). Legends of Tomorrow remains mostly shrouded in mystery, but how might the addition of Hawkman factor into this year’s Arrow / Flash crossover?

Nice to see Hawkman finally cast! I hope eventually he and Hawkgirl get their own show.

Unbelievable, potential for another show and looks like a winner here. I just can't believe that DC Comics is doing so well in the Superhero TV Shows it's mind-boggling.
