I've been wanting to put this up for a few days now, but haven't had a computer that'd do it (frustrating Hilton computers and my iPad isn't good for this type of thing).  Ernesto R. Garcia knocks it out of the park IMO with this cover from 1968. I love the guy's sunglasses, pierced ear, hairy chest, pulling the girl's hair, and the cover copy. Wow! Charlton's romance books had a real misogynistic streak; especially for titles I have to assume were aimed at teenage girls. This is not the first Charlton romance cover I've seen with the woman being physically mistreated. |
