CONSTANTINE Returns, Joins DC-TV Universe In ARROW Season 4

The CW has officially confirmed that Matt Ryan will reprise his role as John Constantine from the recently cancelled Constantine TV series in the upcoming season of Arrow. The announcement comes after months of professed interest from parties on both shows, including its actors and showrunners. Ryan will appear in the fifth episode of Arrow season 4, entitled "Haunted".
Based on the DC character John Constantine, Constantine had a short 13-episode run this year on NBC before the network cancelled it.
Arrow executive producer and co-showrunner Marc Guggenheim said that bringing the so-called Hellblazer was something brought up "constantly" in Arrow's writers' room, but they were stymed previously by Constantine being shopped around to other networks after NBC cancelled it, as well as it being ultimately a decision for DC Entertainment and Warner Bros.
"We are thrilled to have Matt Ryan reprise the role of John Constantine on an upcoming episode of Arrow," said Guggenheim. "Matt is an incredibly talented actor and his portrayal of this beloved character was always something we admired.
