Had a good time today. It was cool meeting thwhtguardian. Not literally, of course; literally, it was hot as the devil's toenail. But it always cool to meet people from the boards. When I have the time, I'm going to resurrect the "stories behind your signed comics" to talk about some of the new sigs I got today. I surprised a lot of creators with books they don't sign often, or in some cases, had forgotten about entirely. The flip side is that I had to wait in very long lines for a couple people who I had no idea were currently drawing really popular mainstream books. Collecting classics giveth, and collecting classics taketh away. But I will give this tease for shax!

When you start up that thread, I'll talk about the look on Chris Claremont's face when I brought him the first appearance of Marada the She-Wolf to sign Veeeery nice!

Which lines did you have to wait in Scott? The lines I had to get tickets for were Jimmy Palmiotti/Amanda Conner (because of Harley Quinn) and Scott Snyder/Greg Capullo (because of Batman). I had a couple other pretty long lines, but those were the only ones I needed tickets for. I also had no idea that those people were doing anything popular at the moment, so it was a surprise to me.

I only know of Scott Snyder from his work on Batman. What were you bringing for him to sign?

Weird, I must have hit them just right as I didn't need to get tickets to see Jim and Amanda, but I didn't stop by until after I went to the panel discussion and it seemed like everyone there was in the Jewel Strait panel. I didn't get anything signed, I just wanted to ask them about the Power Girl team up in their Harley book. Scott Snyder's line was huge though, but over all it was pretty easy to see everyone. My only regrets were not finding Brubaker's catwoman at a reasonable price( I found 3-20 for a buck a piece at one place, but I could only find one and two for ten dollars each at another vender and even looking at trades I couldn't find the first volume with the art by Cooke) and I couldn't find the 2008 Tor reboot by Joe Kubert.

However, he was a package deal with Capullo - if you wanted either of them, you had to wait in line for both. Which was a little awakward. I had to basically say, sorry, dude, I don't care about you, I just want your pal here to sign my sweet, sweet Quasars.
