That's sad news. I love Batgirl. She also did an episode of STar Trek.

I did a short tribute of her on my Superhero TV and Movie thread ... I'm shocked and sad by this news. She was a sweetheart of a lady and terrific with her fans.

Sad to hear this. She was an enormous talent. In addition to appearing on virtually all of my favorite shows from the 60s and 70s, she co-starred with Elvis in one of his better pictures, It Happened at The World's Fair*, and one of his worst, Kissin' Cousins. (In fairness, the distinction between better and worst regarding Elvis' movies is miniscule.)
*About a decade or so ago, the famous Ferris Wheel from the 1962 World's Fair used in the Elvis movie came to our local county fair here in Georgia and I took a ride. It was frighteningly tall, but sturdy, smooth, and exhilarating.

I adore that PSA. After Adam West refused to reprise the role of Batman, the marvelous Dick Gautier stepped in. He is perhaps best remembered as Hymie the Robot on Get Smart. A very funny man, he is rather subdued here, evoking a sort of anesthetized Adam West.
