Hi. I am Ken from NYC. I came across this forum when I was using a search engine in regards to searching for reviews of classic comic books. I'm glad I found it, and hopefully get to read even more interesting threads about other classic comic books. Have a good upcoming weekend to everyone. Welcome, Ken. We look forward to hearing from you. Thank you for the welcome. I am looking forward to contributing to some of the discussion. Although I hope I don't come across as lacking in knowledge of some of the classic stories. Some of the posts are phenomenal, it is as if I am reading books borrowed from the library and conducting research on a literature assignment. It is such a pleasant website/forum to read such things about comic books. |

Hey guys, glad to be "HOME" again. I was posting on and off on CBR for some time....then one day, tried to post there and saw that some version of SECRET WARS had happened over there......That is, the original had been totally destroyed and then someone, Dr. Doom presumably, re-created it in his image....and image that just wasn't the same. Then I saw a mention in someone's post about the "pocket universe" here where the old Classic World had been recreated.
My name there is as it is here: RichardWrite, because that's the name of my freelance writing business. I was the creator of the old "SUPERHERO TOYS" thread over there, which I'll probably recreate here.....

Hi I started posting online sometime in 2000 on the old DC boards, have moved around a bit but never found anything again like the sense of community there. My online posting dwindled as did my interest in new comics for the most part - I have a particular interest in Bronze Age Marvel (so much so I set up a blog mightyworldofbronzeagemarvel.blogspot.co.uk/) but haven't updated in awhile and discovered this site while looking for somewhere to discuss, erm, classic comics. That's me in a nutshell. |
