Hello everyone, I love comics of each and every description and hope that I have come to the right place to discuss with like-minded people. I am of British/Italian origin and was brought up reading an eclectic mix of UK, American and European comics since the late 1970s (except for the customary 4 or 5 year break during early adulthood). Looking forward to getting stuck right in! Welcome aboard, greavsie . We're excited to have you here! Thank you, shaxper.

Although I have liked Spider-Man, Hulk, Punisher and Batman (notice the past tense!), my absolute all-time favourites are Doom Patrol. Cool avatar, by the way!

I loved the Doom Patrol ... and I read quite of few of their early adventures and my favorite member is Elastic Girl followed by Negative Man and Robotman. I'm a Spider-Man Fan too and he's my favorite in the Marvel Universe. My favorite DC Comics is Superman, Batman, and both Green Lanterns ... Alan Scott and Hal Jordan. I prefer Alan Scott because of it outrageous costume. Welcome!

Hal Jordan is the definitive Green Lantern for me too, although I really should check out the Alan Scott version some time. That really is a cool costume.

Mujer Maravilla? Doesn’t that name make her logo look like it’s upside down? Welcome to the CCF, Perlina!

Hello. I have been reading comics since the early 70’s. I dig most stuff up to the 90’s, lately I have been reading some golden age stuff plus silver age Marvel and DC.
I like what I have seen of some newer comics but the combination of high price, weird art styles, and how fast I can read a newer comic really keep me away from them. A few years ago I got a Dark Horse run of new Conan books at a convention for a decent price and I could read a single issue in less than 5 minutes. Now I liked the story but the whole single and double splash pages throughout the issues take up space and imo detract from the story telling.
Any good newer comics today with 6-8 panel story format?

Welcome to the forum, willc68. I buy Savage Dragon and it has a more traditional panel format than most books.
