I will go ahead and reintroduce myself since it's been 5 or 6 years since I've been on CCF. My name is Brian, pop culture enthusiast from California. I am in my 40's now, which means I was in my 30's when I discovered this forum way back when it was on CBR all those years ago. Glad to see CCF is still alive and well. I have two daughters who are slowly getting into comics which is fun, and one of them is in my avatar reading one of my favorites.
So why am I back? Easiest answer is that I'm fully back into comics. I had lost interest for those several years, having collected nearly everything I was after. But I am now catching up on the last few years of modern comics, as well as collecting trade paperbacks of much older runs I've never read. I'm also re-reading Claremont's X-Men beginning with Giant Size X-Men #1.
Maybe I will finally finish my long lost Grendel review thread, which Shaxper has generously left up on the front page of the featured review threads all these years. Thank you shax!

Hello everyone, My name is Jeff,....I live in Louisiana, and like most am kinda homebound at the present due to c19. I collect comics, mainly golden age, precode horror and crime, some western and war, silver age and then it fades pretty fast after that unless you count the few new stuff I read.,...like JLA Dark, Moosnhiners, criminal, and maybe 2 or 3 more.,.... I also collect vintage toys, and movie posters, paperbacks, musical instruments, and well, you get the idea. Welcome! Are you a Louisiana native? I'm originally from Venice, myself. I grew up in Metairie (not a born and raised Lousiannian unfortunately), so it's nice to see people from my neck of the woods, down south so to speak. Also welcome professorblack and thepatman (nice to know that I'm not the only "young buck" on the site)~

Maybe I will finally finish my long lost Grendel review thread, which Shaxper has generously left up on the front page of the featured review threads all these years. Thank you shax! I sure would love to see you do that, but what you left us two years back was already a high quality resource as it was. I have no intention of "un-featuring" it, whether you choose to continue it or not. Welcome back, my friend. I'd like to think we're still fun even when you grow tired of comics again the next time around 😉

Sorry Prince Hal, brutalis, and tartanphantom, the new member "crazyguy89" is a spambot. Note how nothing in his post explicitly refers to comics or comic collecting. That's a copy & paste message that would fit into hundreds of different forums. We should've deleted this account and the above post before you guys replied to it, but it got overlooked. So, apologies for that.
