Thanks tartanphantom, I appreciate that, and I am sorry about the music thread posts, I wish I could bring those back.
I’m just going to try to post a little more relaxed, I’d like to stay around, there are a lot of good folks here. Your El Kabong comment is awesome as well.

Yeah, we were wondering about you during the Zoom call this past weekend. Hoping that you wouldn't be gone for long. I, for one value your input here, and I don't think I'm alone in that group. Wish your previous posts hadn't been nuked though! I haven't checked, but now the music notes thread probably looks like I'm talking to myself regarding my bands!
Stick around this time, how 'bout it, and join another zoom session when you can.
Not that it's likely to happen, but If I ever delete my profile and come back it would probably be as El Kabong...
I’m pretty sure the Music Notes looks more like me talking to myself.
Hmmmm... just like Hank Snow in his later years...

I hate when members come back under new names and don't tell us who they were! Bert, I don't want to be that person, so just wanted to mention I re-registered today by my more comfortable name I have more history with (Jaska) but was supercat. I deleted some content before I left and did not want to cause any drama (but in hindsight that's what it does so I'm sorry for that), but want to come back and try posting again, there's a lot here I still really like. Welcome back! -M

Hey,
Born in the late '60s so grew up reading comics in the '70s and into the early '80s. Mostly DC war comics like Sgt Rock, GI Combat, Unknown Soldier... only Marvel comic I read back then was Daredevil... didn't read much comics again until a friend reignited my interest about 15-years ago. Since then it's mostly been hardbound contemporary graphic novels and reprints of comics that predate my birth. I've begun rebuilding my DC war comics collection from ebay, but, man, it's a costly proposition and certainly exceeds my allowance unlike the '70s!
One comic that is really puzzling me though is something I read as a kid... not sure which decade it's from (could have been '60s before I was born since I found back issues in our school library, as well as possibly continuing into the early and mid '70s). It might have been part of a comic book like Treasure Chest and was a serial - about some kids during pioneer days. One of the children was a young girl, but she wasn't a Little House on the Prairie Laura Ingalls-type. She wore a buckskin outfit with fringe and my memory might be playing tricks, but her name could have been Jesse. It's been nagging at me for days and I can't find this serial/comic book despite a google search. Any help would be most appreciated!

I seem to remember a wagon train... thanks for trying though... it's an itch I can't scratch and I really want to buy a couple copies if I can find the title... I seem to remember the other stories in the book were not necessarily Western...

Hello, the name's BBally from Egypt. Big comic fan. Welcome aboard, bbally! We don't see many comic fans from Egypt. Are there many comics available there? If not, how did you get into the hobby?

Hello My name is João and i´m Portuguese. I´m a comic´s fan since i can remember. I´m a Math teacher and also guitarist. I love drawing also. I have many favourite artists/pencilers: Alex Toth, Eduardo Risso, Sergio Toppi, Pratt, Al Williamson, .... I registered in this forum for a reason: I´m looking for an old story that i read 40 years ago and i only have scarce memorys of it. Can you help me...? Where can i post this search? Thanks

Greetings, all. My name is David and I have been a fan of comics and comic art since I was just a boy.
The work of artists such as George Perez and John Byrne have fueled my desire to be the best artist I could be.
I've seriously collected comics since 1993 with my core being silver age X-Men.
I helped manage a small hobby shop where I learned to grade comics with the best teachers I knew.
Now, I draw for fun and profit. I usually get a table at my local cons or peddle my wares online.
I have a extensive knowledge in the Marvels and a patchwork familiarity with DC and other publishers mostly in the 90's-00's.

Welcome, cobaltviper! There's a lot to look at around here. I've been collecting for over 40 years, and yet I still learn a thing or two from the brain-trust around here.
Don't be shy, find a topic that interests you and jump right in!
