I got my wife's old Ipad and subscribed to Marvel Unlimited. It's quite awesome. But it's a much better experience to read an actual comic.

Samsung tablet here, and they are great for reading comics, as opposed to a laptop. Vibrant colours, and with the right app they navigate easily and the "bookshelf" with all the covers looks cool too. Have been tempted to try Marvel Unlimited (?) but don't like what Ive seen of their reader. Seems awkward to me.

I'm going to have to get some computer glasses, because as it is, my eyes will rarely allow me to read digital comics for very long before the evils of eye strain start working on me. I'm very pleased with the new Marvel Epic collection and Fantagraphics Prince Valiant and Bark's Duck's series, so I'm considering backing away from digital and using it to sample new series. If I like the series, I'll start buying the trades. I think the major pro that print has over digital is that it's easier on everyone's eyes.

I've got a subscription to Marvel Unlimited. It's very nice (though missing too many Bronze Age comics) but I have to read them in my Kindle, which isn't fun, so I haven't really been reading too many online comics lately. I vastly prefer paper comics anyway.

I'm going to Chile with my wife , which is a 12 hour flight, and I've downloaded my Gitcorp dvd-roms of both the Avengers 40 years and Fantastic Four 44 years for the trip.

It's great having them on a tablet when traveling.

I don't care for digital comics because of the glare of the computer screen and sometimes it's hard for me to read them and I have some degree of navigation issues going from one page to another. I've just don't know how long print comics are going to last but eventually the digital will take over and print will cease to exist. I hope that it isn't the case because it's going to be very difficult for me to read digital comics these days.

Try turning down the brightness on the screen and making sure the room is well lit so it's not like you're staring directly into a projection light.

Print is far superior, but no one wants to store comics that they're never going to read again. My beef is that the price is the same for something you can't possess.

I still have tens of thousands of print issues and love them, but digging them out and storing them are both factors where digital definitely has an advantage IMO.

I might have stated earlier in the thread that I have Marvel Unlimited and many of the issues that I've read I wouldn't want to keep stored away.

I saved a lot of money just reading the Original Sins Mini. Boy, was that junk.

Print is far superior, but no one wants to store comics that they're never going to read again. My beef is that the price is the same for something you can't possess. The format of digital is fine for me for the most part. I think a good tablet/e-reader is a necessity in order for it to be enjoyable though. As well as the titles you want to be available at a price you think is a value. Right now I think the lower end of premium hardcovers are the best value. Digital could fix that with a couple clicks on a mouse though. I predict we're not far off from a legal digital golden age where comic files are cheap and available on the device and reader of your choice. We're already living in an age where off brand Android tablets are amazingly cheap. I got my mom a 10" tablet for $80 last year. It's thin and lightweight and does just about everything my first gen iPad does (which I paid almost $500 for). I'm thinking of getting one myself.
