Anyone into him? New issue of Loose is coming soon fom Koyama Press. He's been one of the few to constantly surprise and challenge me in te past 5 years or so, but so much of his production is self produced fanzines tat I have to keep track with his local Toronto LCS for most of it... Ant Colony was really good last year.

The stories are usually quite close to Dave Cooper's, on the unsettleing side if not plainly disturbing. Of not is the fact Deforge is the artist who created the art direction for the Adventure Time animated show. He even did a short story in one of the early comics if I remember correctly.

I know I've read some of his stuff, (I took notes on it!) but I'm not remembering what it was. He's in the same surrealist niche as Patrick Kyle and Brian Chippendale, and while I LOVE that stuff it all blends together a little bit in my foggy old brain.

He did something for Marvel's Strange Tales I think, that's the most mainstream stuff he did, and a short story in an Adventure Time issue
