I think I remember seeing him fight on tv at least once in the 1970s, not sure who the opponent was though. I'll have to try to look up and see which of his fights were broadcast back then. I remember Jim Watt too, but I don't think I saw their match against one another.

RIP to actress Judy Farrell, best known as (one of several) Nurse Able, on MASH... She was married to Mike Farrell, who played BJ Hunnicutt, though they divorced in 1983. The nurses were usually named after the military alphabet (Able, Baker, Charlie.....) of the era, unless they were a special guest character, or, like Nurse Kelley, were established over a long time (like Nurse Bigelow and an early Nurse Baker got the first name Ginger). In one episode, she played Peg Hunnicutt, in a dream sequence. Her hometown of Quapaw, Oklahoma and her father's name, Floyd, were both used for Peg Hunnicutt, in the series. Farrell was also a writer, for the soap opera Port Charles, and acted in episodes of Fame, Benson, Quincy ME, The Partridge Family, The Rookies, Medical Center, and had an uncredited role in the original film version of The Andromeda Strain.

I didn't know about him here in Canada but thanks for posting that. Indigenous rights is a huge issue here, as it is in so many Commonwealth countries.

Never heard of CATAN. Cei-U! Just sayin'! Do a google image search on Catan (or Settlers of Catan as it was called when first released in 1995) if you are curious. It is the game that transformed the board game market, popularizing European style games in the American market and pretty much laying the foundation for the current board game market. It also pioneered the idea of expandable board games, where you could continually evolve your game by buying supplements and add-ons for it, if you wanted, but that could stand alone and play differently every time as is. You couldn't go into a game store or game convention in the last 25 or so years without encountering CATAN in some form. -M

Settlers of Catan was an absolute game-changer and almost single-handedly led to the board-game renaissance of the last thirty years. I'm not sure there's been a more influential board game since Monopoly.
R.I.P.

I actually meant Trouble. Finally, someone eliminated the arduous task of rolling the dice and gave us the Pop-O-Matic! .

The perfect marriage of flat spring steel and polystyrene! Nevermind that it's an atomic-age rip off of Parcheesi.
