No time, energy or desire to post samples but I'd say Steve Rude and Karl Kesel on the World's Finest mini-series.
Cei-U! I summon the creme de la creme!

You guys have made excellent choices , I'm partial to Warlock #9 by Jim Starlin and Steve Leialoha. The interiors Blew my mind.

I'm on record as not being a huge fan of Neal Adams but when I see things like the double-page street scene posted above I think that would change if I were exposed to more of the same. Looking at that and some of the covers he did for the horror series like House of Mystery, I think it's his superhero work that leaves me a little cold. I wish he'd done more work in other genres, horror, espionage, whatever - anything where people wore regular clothes rather than skin-tight costumes.
I like Steve Rude's work but sometimes it seems a little too self-consciously derivative for me to rank him with the very best. Still, there's no denying he's very good at what he does and it's a shame we don't get to see more of his stuff. Hadn't heard of this World's Finest series before now but I might look at it just for the art, much as I dislike Superman, and even Batman, these days.

So many good choices here, but I still think the most impressive art I've yet seen in comics, from a pure gorgeous details perspective, is John Bolton's work in Marada the She-Wolf. In terms of this general style of art, it still seems to me to be several levels above even the best stuff today.

A few examples that came to mind: I never got the appeal on Marshal Rogers. I have his run on The Silver Surfer and it was so plain to look at. Even his Batman Run was meh.

Frazetta never fails to make my jaw drop:
Lou Fine's light and shade pleases me:
Joe Maneely's lush textures are always a treat:
