I honestly don't remember where I was going with this one. All I have finished is the prologue. You can feel hints of my Legacy of the Spectre script here. This was written a few years later, I think.

Prologue
Establishing far shot 1: giant flames rising above a small home in feudal Japan.
Establishing far shot 2: two samurai on horseback engaging each other with spears
Wide panoramic shot: a small girl (Reia) standing to the bottom left in the middle of the road, houses burning on both sides as fighting occurs in the distant upper right. Between Reia and the battle stands a lone figure, back turned to the camera, watching the battle and concealed in a shadowy cloak. Reia is looking directly at him in surprise.
medium shot: Shadowy figure from the front, slightly off to the left of the shot, still eclipsed in a shadowy cloak with only a ghostly mouth visible.
medium shot: Identical to previous shot, but with Reia to the right of the figure, looking up at him. A contrast of energies as the shadowy figure is looking off past the camera in serene darkness and the young girl looks directly at him, concerned with an immediate problem.
Reia: Are you Hachiman?
close up: Hachiman’s face, still eclipsed in shadow and facing forward. Only his ghostly mouth showing.
Hachiman: I have been called that name.
close up: Reia, looking down with sadness.
Reia: You have taken my mother and grandparents.
medium shot: Hachiman and Reia again. Hachiman has not moved. Reia is looking down.
Reia: My father and brothers are fighting out there.
far shot: the two from behind in silhouette, overlooking the battle, fires blazing in the foreground. A blur of soldiers on and off horses scramble around each other.
Reia: Will you take care of them?
closeup: Hachiman’s unchanging face again.
Hachiman: I cannot.
closeup: Reia, looking forward, eyes tearing as she attempts to remain strong and calm.
Reia: Will you look after their souls, then?
medium shot: upturned, from the height of Reia’s chest. Reia and Hachiman from profile, with Reia looking forward and Hachiman turned to face her. His white globs of eyeless eyes are now visible through the silhouette of his cloak.
Hachiman: I cannot.
closeup: Reia from profile, eyes closed tight from a combination of anger, sadness, and frustration as she fights back her tears.
Reia: I don’t understand!
medium shot: Hachiman and Reia. Hachiman looking forward (eyes and mouth visible). Reia with eyes tightly closed.
Hachiman: Though I am a god of war, I can neither choose the winners nor direct the souls of the losers.
Hachiman: I merely satisfy the will of Karma, directing a sword to hit its target or an arrow to miss so that bloodlines end and continue as they should.
far shot: the two from behind again.
Hachiman: The outcomes have already been prescribed. For the sake of Karma and the future it brings, I must deliver these outcomes into being.
medium shot: profile of Hachiman turned to face Reia again. Her eyes are open as she looks on at the battle.
Hachiman: I am only an instrument in the larger plan of the Gods.
far shot: two from behind again. Hachiman facing forward now.
Reia: Hachiman san, I thought people could only see Kami if the Kami wanted them to.
far shot: identical to previous, except Reia is looking at Hachiman.
Reia: Then why do I see you?
far shot: identical, except Reia’s entire silhouetted body is turned to Hachiman.
Reia: Did you wish to hear me plead for the lives of my loved ones?
Reia: Will you change your mind and help them?
far shot: identical, though Reia has stopped talking.
Hachiman: No, that was not why I allowed you to see me.
far shot: identical, except Reia is facing forward again.
far shot: identical
Hachiman: I’m sorry, Reia.
far shot: Identical view. A soldier from the battle has brushed too close and his spear has caught Reia’s head as her headless silhouette goes limp and begins to fall to the ground. Hachiman has not moved.
Far shot: identical. Reia’s limp body on the ground. Hachiman has not moved.
End prologue.
