I was wondering...anyone here an avid artists themselves? Or know of someone ie a friend, relative etc. who is into comic book art?
I ask because I have this idea that I am not sure what to do with. You see, my fiance and I are planning a wedding for next summer and I had this idea to have some comic book type elements. Nothing over the top because she doesn't like cheesy but subtle.
One of those ideas was our guestbook. I am envisioning a large canvas size image with different superhero couples. Spider-Man and MJ. Batman and Catwoman. Sue and Reed Richards. You get the idea. At least 6 or 7 couples. Then, surrounding these images, there are varying speech bubbles filling the blank spaces for our guests to sign and fill in. And of course, in the center, a drawing or photo of us.
Thing is, I am an average drawer at best. So maybe you guys can recommend someone who does commissioned work? Heck, do any older artists still do commissioned work and if so, where can I reach out to them? I am not saying a Neal Adams level (although that would be a dream...a costly one but a definite dream) but any solid artist. Anyone with ideas or who wants to take on this idea, please reply!

Have a look in the artists section like Shaxper says and see if you like my work. Would the comics characters have to be originals, or could I copy images from Spidey or the FF weddings and use them? Do you want it serious or realistic, or is cartoony ok? Presuming not as she wouldn't want it cheesy. What would be the actual image size you need? ie how big is the guestbook you envisage? Do you have a couple of decent photos of yourself and your lady? A good headshot, B+W is best cos you see the shadings in the face that color doesn't always show. Color as well so I could get that all right too. Would there need to be a setting the "people" are in, or just couples on the page? Portrait or Landscape?
Welcome to email me at pakehafulla@yahoo.com if you're interested. Im not saying Im pro quality but I think I could do an ok job for you.

Haha thanks for showing an interest! To answer some of your questions...
1. Copies of images is what I was envisioning. So, for example Spidey and MJ from that one ASM Annual, Batman and Catwoman together (I believe there is a nice Jim Lee image of that), Vision and Scarlett Witch, Superman and Lois Lane, Reed and Sue and perhaps Cyclops and Jean Grey. 2. Match the original if possible, with your own artistic ability mixed in. 3. I envision a large landscape size backing that could be propped up or hung. Characters arranged 3 along top of space, 3 along the bottom and us in the middle. 4. No setting or background needed. The white space between is filled with all the speech bubbles to have people fill in and sign. Roughly 150 bubbles.
This is just an idea that I am hashing out as we in the very early stages lol

If you have images in mind from certain characters/weddings etc send a list and I can play around with layouts. Also preferences for which ones to be grouped if that matters to you.
I just did a google search for "wedding of black bolt" and 1 of the first images is a gatefold Black Panther cover by Cho, what about something in that line. The main figures there are larger with the comic characters you like smaller in the foreground.
