CBR articleDC is finally bringing the full run out. Looks like it will be a digital first feature like Batmna '66, Adventures of Superman, etc. then collected in 3 trade volumes later this year and into next year. I know Shax for one has mentioned wanting to get the full run, but only pieces of it have been made available in the U.S. previously. -M

It really is an extraordinary body of work. It's the missing middle ground between campy Atom Age Batman and the darker Modern Age stuff, all infused with the energy of manga. Gorgeous, campy, fun, sometimes extremely dark stuff.

I've got the one translation that was put out a couple of years ago. Didn't realize there's more. Maybe this is one of those digital offerings they've been hinting at that people would like.
Sounds great !

I just looked it up, I love how the art just looks like Silver Age Batman.

I've been wanting to read this since I first saw the Batman The Brave and the Bold short. I thought Lord Death Man was such an interesting character and I was wondering why I'd never heard of him before.

This is exciting. Is it the same material Chip Kidd put out a few years back? I passed on that at the time for some reason, but always meant to go back and get it. Now it looks I'll be getting another shot, and a full run at that.

Now it looks I'll be getting another shot, and a full run at that. Kidd indicated in that volume that, close to publication time, he'd come across a lot more material. Apparently, he or someone else has now tracked down all of it, so this should be a far more complete collection than that was.

I read the first three issues and really enjoyed them. The Batman cartoon is a pretty accurate adaptation (other than the animation style).

I've been getting this digitally and it is seriously awesome. I think my favorite part so far was in the first issue where Lord Death man convinced everyone that he had a huge gang by using a bunch of black flags with skeletons painted on them with glow in the dark paint.

Lord Death Man is a seriously awesome opponent, but Kuwata's take on Clayface, as well as the murderous Ape guy, were also seriously impressive.
