Agh, that one I only read in translation... It's the issue in which Cap's mask is fished out of the water, riddled with bullet holes, right? Probably contemporary to the Steranko Captain America stories? (*edit* a quick look at the GCD suggests it would be Captain America #112). Yep, you got it!

As an educated guess, as I don't recognize it myself, the only romance story Starlin drew inked by Abel is the Gary Friedrich scripted One Day a Week from My Romance #20 cover dated November 1972.... -M Yup, you got it! Always thought that sequence was a rip-off of based on a similar panel Alicia-Surfer sequence from FF #49.

A Jim Starlin romance story? That I would like to see.
Couldn't find it in My Romance but did find it in a Marvel book called My Love. Has anyone read more of this series? It seems to have featured some excellent artists - Colan, Starlin, Buscema, Al Williamson (only a 4-page story, but still), ... even Steranko in one issue.

I just wanted to confirm the title because I think I'll be looking for that back issue and probably a few others from the series, now I see all the artists who did work for it.

That story (along with the rest of ML #20) was reprinted in Our Love Story #33, cover-dated April 1975.
