X-Men Archives 1995-1996 were when they were first colorized. I was absolutely delighted when that series came out-I'd wanted to see those stories in colour for years. They are definitely some of Moore's best work and Davis looks so much better in color...in my Top 5 of Moore's for sure.

I don't know the number but I seem to recall it's the issue in which he met Crackajack Jackson, one of the finest (if short-lived) supporting characters ever.

It's to over-hyphenated title: Giant-Size Super-Villain Team-Up #1 where Namor revives Doom setting up the premise for the early part of that run...
