Anyone reading the new Archie series? Archie #1-3 & Jughead #1 are out. I have enjoyed this "new" updated version of the Archie cast. I like the modern take that shows respect to the classic stuff.
Archie #1 starts out with the breakup of longtime couple - Archie & Betty. Jughead is still Archie's best friend. In #2 the Lodges move to Riverdale. In #3 Veronica starts attending Riverdale High School.
In Jughead #1 - Mr Weatherbee retires (not his choice) & Jughead does not like the changes the new principal starts making (mostly the food the cafeteria serves). The rest of the cast shows up here (Reggie/Moose/etc). |

I've read Archie 1 & 2 and quite liked it. I've been getting them off the newsstands so to speak i.e. on the magazine rack of the local supermarket, rather than buying through Diamond/direct market distribution, so I haven't seen/gotten Archie #3 or Jughead yet.

I'll check it out in trade probably, if I like it I might follow along with the floppies. I do follow a few Archie series already.
