There are a few of us here... roquefort raider, berk, pinkfloydsound, myself and maybe others of which I'm unaware... so Happy Canada to all who wish to join in on the fun of Canada's 147'th birthday.
I'm not much into patriotism but its nice to have a holiday, check out some fireworks and read a good book all the same.
Actually I an just now reading James Salter's phenomenal autobiography "Burning the Days". Salter's pretty quintessentially American, but it all works for me. The man is a hell of writer.

Yes, happy Canada Day to all Canucks (and visitors)!
What I love most about Canadian patriotism is that it's a very low-octane one. I hope that never changes, Stephen Harper's shenanigans notwithstanding.
Cheers!

Beautiful country with wonderful people. We have friends that live near Toronto & Montreal. We need to visit them again soon!

Not many lol....although if you have never listened to the Hip, I strongly recommend. People either love or hate them but for me they are the best Canadian rock group outside of Rush.

Well, I've never had seal and I never cared for Deep Space Nine, so there is that.
I'll give young George the benefit of the doubt only he proves his mettle on, say, his fifth birthday by donning a pair of those ice pants.

Happy Canada Day eh? Hope it is/was good for all our Canadian brethren. It was the native land of all my grandparents (most came from in and around Sherbrooke-RR's stomping ground), so I have always had a fondness for it.

I never cared for Deep Space Nine To me TOS, TNG and DS9 are the great Star Treks, and TAS, Voy. and Ent. are the Star Treks you watch when you're really jonesing for Star Trek and those are the only ones on. This is of course a general rule: there are a few episodes of the latter 3 better than a few episodes of the former 3...

Next time you pay us a visit, we'll kill a seal and eat its blubber! With maple syrup, eh?
