Very sad. An incredibly talented artist (and co-creator of Zatanna, one of my all-time favourite characters).
He will be missed.

Such a great artist, and an artist who always made other artists' work look better. RIP, Murphy. Thank you for all the great work.

A couple of good ones from Murphy Anderson: I have been considering the issue on the right for the Top Twenty Silver Age Comics list.

He was one of the all time greats. For my money, he's the best inker I've ever seen. His art with Curt Swan on Superman is almost unmatched, his work with Carmine Infantino was magic and he could even make Mike Sekowsky look great. His own work was also incredible. Mr. Anderson will be missed.

I'm so late in picking up on this sad news. I'll just say how terribly sad it is. When one of these grand old masters passes a whole era of memories, stories and no less than the ghost of an age lets go as well.
Murphy Anderson was the look of DC for those endless times that are now ended. Clean, clear, elegant. Quick with life. And not to forget with optimism. Just beautiful.

I am seeing this late as well and it is truly sad news. He was a master at his craft. His work had a classy quality too it, like you were reading something more than a comicbook.
