For me:
- All New Avengers / Hawkeye / Wolverine / Forbush Man / (everything) #1s, though not wildly enthused by any of the titles;
- Illuminati 1
- Secret Wars 7 , assuming it actually comes out this year
- Squad Sinister 4
- Thors 4
- Ultimates 1 (though not expecting much from that)
- Uncanny Avengers 2 (though #1 was pretty poor)
- Web Warriors 1
- Walking Dead 148, though more through habit than any real enjoyment
- War Stories 14
Pretty uninspiring list, to be honest

I tend to agree with you. Try something else then, there's plenty new DC and Image that cost obly 2.99 that you could just try out. I'm very confident in that new superman title I'm getting, that one from Max Landis. Twilight Children is so far amazing, Godamned is the Scalped team reuniting on an original story, autumnlands, Birthright and Descender are all jumping on points with the new issues. I personnaly gave up on all continuity Marvel and DC stuff except for Batman, Batgirl, Doc Strange and Karnak (but only for the art's sake...), and my reading habit has sn't felt as inspired as lately  |

Not sure if its this week or last week but Garth Ennis's Johnny Red from Titan is excellent, his homage to the classic Battle strip. The artwork on the Hurricane in battle is bloody good.

How did we do:
- All New Avengers / Hawkeye / Wolverine / Forbush Man / (everything) #1s, though not wildly enthused by any of the titles - not read any of these yet
- Illuminati 1 - meh
- Secret Wars 7 - all filler, no killer
- Squad Sinister 4 - building a story around a series of "homage" panels from other better comics does not make a good comic
- Thors 4 - meh
- Ultimates 1 - somewhat better than I expected, though I hate the fact that they are using "Neutronium" as the name of the superscience mcGuffin, which has no relation to the real (theorised) substance Neutronium.
- Uncanny Avengers 2 - awful
- Web Warriors 1 - OKish
- Walking Dead 148 - getting bored with this, may use 150 as a jumping off point
- War Stories 14 - not read yet
All in all, so far has been as uninspiring as I expected.
