My, what huge enthsiasm that announcement stirs within my heart! I'm sure when it is eventually released (around 2047, based on his delivery record) it will be a magnum opus that puts all other artists to shame.

This shows how cynical Marvel is : They publish ythis because they know it's gonna make money, yet they know it sucks more than anything else on the stands.

How is this different than any other contemporary media company-book publishers, movie studios and tv networks release stuff they know is crap but will turn a profit all the time-their goal/responsibility to shareholders and investors is to make money, not necessarily to produce quality. If quality were what sold, that's what they would produce, but people prefer crap most of the time, s there is a market for it. -M

I'm not saying it's different than other companies, just stating that this specific publishing news is proof of that regarding them. And come on, Liefeld is universally regarded withn hte US comic world as the worst successful artist ever! Same goes with Bob Harras decision to hire him for the early 52... But Harras and Liefeld are pals and owe their success to each other, where I thaught Alex Alonso had more integrity.

Alonso has hired him before to do some X-Force and what not and then there is the Robert Kirkman written Liefeld drawn Killraven story that has been sitting in a drawer forever that Alonso okayed before it got shelved (and who knows maybe that's what this will be) so Alonso hiring him again is not a surprise. -M

It isn't, except I might somehow have given him some slack back then as he wasn't the EIC back then. And we should be gratefull for htem to have shelved that mini, as the Kirkman factor in itself would have exposed in a very bad way our favorite medium to the masses. I also confess I'm slightly ashamed of still slighly hoping to one day read the rest of Youngblood - Boodsport

"Rob Liefeld will be illustrating a original graphic novel titled Deadpool: Bad Blood with X-Men '92 writers Chris Sims and Chad Bowers. Announced at ComicBook, Liefeld is both co-writing and drawing the project based on a story idea from the late 1990s." Excellent - one of my least favourite creators teamed with writers from a terrible comic working on one of my least favourite characters. This just has "buy me" written all over it...

They almost completely lost me at "Rob Liefeld", but the news of it being a Deadpool book seals the deal that this will not be purchased in the Bishop household.

I guess Brevoort isn't holding any grudges after Liefeld called him "fat boy" during his feud with Scott Snyder. Who exactly are these Liefeld fans?
