I remember this, I believe I bowed out simply because I couldn't think of that many sagas worth mentioning as favorites. It was a lot of fun to read though and I'd be interested in giving something similar a shot. What did you have in mind Shax?

We've already got Classic Comics Christmas coming up in December, and the Jamies coming up in April, so maybe this would be a February or July thing? I remember this, I believe I bowed out simply because I couldn't think of that many sagas worth mentioning as favorites. It was a lot of fun to read though and I'd be interested in giving something similar a shot. What did you have in mind Shax? Well, if we end up doing the Top 100 Sagas again this year, one more event is probably enough. But, for what it's worth, the idea was a tad more basic -- The 100 Greatest Moments in Comics. I haven't worked out specific criteria, but I'd like to keep it pretty broad so long as the focus is on moments IN comics and not behind the scenes (though that would make a great list in and of itself). |

Just remember first week of March is Will Eisner Week i.e. Read a Graphic Novel Week, the national event we played along with last year and is running again this year. -M PS I like summer for it better as it balances out Twelve Days of Christmas, the big event at the end of the year, the 100 Greatest should be like the Christmas in July kind of thing, at the halfway point of the year, just about 6 months apart. |

I do worry about event fatigue, but participation numbers were up for this year's Long Halloween, so things are looking rosy as of now. |

So I just now realized I lost most of my personal list from 2014. Back to the drawing board.
I'm also considering NOT asking folks for a full 100 choices this year. I think if everyone came up with their own Top 25 we could still churn out a great Top 100.

I was actually just about to suggest that... 100 items is pretty overwhelming... it kinda limits any sort of casual participation. CBR's top 100 characters (which they just did) asks people for a top 10. which is pretty easy to just do off the cuff. I think you're looking for a more thoughtful set of responses, so more than 10 makes sense... I think 25 sounds pretty darn good.
The top moments idea is really interesting... I wonder how much that will overlap the 'sagas' list.

100 is clearly more than I could even conceive of doing.
25 is at least in the realm of possibility.
