Today in the US is Veterans Day & Remembrance Day in Canada, a day to remember all those who've served in the Armed Forces. If you know a veteran, or just meet one on the street, take a moment to thank them for their service. The treatment of some of our veterans, especially those who served in life threatening combat situations, has been shameful in many cases, particularly for those returning from the Vietnam war. Just a moment of your time can make their day, to know what they contributed hasn't been forgotten.
It also wouldn't hurt to let them know about some of the freebies that are now available for vets on or around Veterans Day:

Over here in France, it also is a holiday, simply because its the day WWI's end, l'armistice! Yay France! Yay the French Resistance! Easily counted among the bravest combatants in WWII.
