Jean Grey has always been more of a plot device than a character. Even more so once they put her in her plot at the cemetery. Let the dead rest.

I absolutely love Quietlys art, so much so, that I buy anything he does. But hey, I am honest about how ugly his women look. Jim Starlin, who I love too, draws some ugly women as well. Yup. Starlin's women are always gangly and thin. Too anorexic for me. It took me quite some time to get accustomed to his art. Early on I actually preferred someone else's art to his writing. They weren't always like that, though: Or the cover to Star Reach #1 (link because NSFW)And check out these pages from his Conan story in SSoC (forget the issue #): link

I'm pretty sure I recognize the first panel, as something I have read. Maybe in Epic Illustrated? I have an issue of Star Reach Classic that has a Starlin story in it. But not sure if it is the same one you are referencing without checking the issue out when I get home. I had no idea he did any Conan. With those examples ... wth Starlin?

I think the first page is from a Star Reach story, the Origin of Death, or something like that. But that was black and white, not sure where this colour version is from.
I find George Perez went through a similar change in his artwork, but later on he returned to something closer to his earlier, more rounded style of figure drawing.

Cerebus the Aardvark is androgynous. He ain't got no private parts. There i said that! <comics nerd mode> Technically he's a hermaphrodite. His manly parts fold inside his womanly parts which then seal shut. That's canon, too!</comics nerd mode>

Is Vibe from Justice League of America (Detroit) ... I just can't stand his character on the JLA/JLD. I remember reading how much George Perez disliked him as well, him being Hispanic and Vibe being a tired stereotype

The Wasp (Janet Van Dyne version) is indecisive. She can never make up her mind on which costume to wear. Make up your damn mind woman! No wonder you are always late to the battle!!! You are too busy trying on the whole closet. So i said it...... I never liked this character, always seeing her as a spoiled little rich girl that the reader was expected to find charming, for some reason. Later on apparently they tried to make her into a respected leader but there were many more deserving female characters for this kind of role, IMO. Then there was the story where she KO's the evil Moondragon, which I've always seen as a backhanded way of saying the Wasp is the acceptable kind of female Avenger - cute, flirtatious, etc - in contrast to the unacceptable Moondragon, who was her opposite in every way - cold, distant, refusing to go along with Tony Stark's flirting, asserting her equal status with the most important Avengers such as Thor, etc. We can't have that, says Jim Shooter! So yeah, not a Wasp fan.

I miss the simple spandex costumes that superheroes used to wear.

Stan was years ahead of cable television with the Wasp. Snooki wishes she was Janet Van Dyne.
