Those things just give me headaches. I bought that Byrne Batman one, which included his new story and an old 3D comic reprint and I couldn't get through more than about 4 pages, before I had a splitting headache.
Wow, never heard that symptom before...I don't get headaches, but i do look silly with the glasses on so i make sure no one is around.

They never look all that great to me, so I tend to find them hardly worth the trouble.
edit: comics, that is. With movies, I find the 3-D effect works better, but isn't often put to much good use - so once again, though for different reasons, not usually an attraction for me. Cameron's Avatar, for all its flaws, was probably the best use of 3-D I've seen.

I am nearsighted, with a hefty prescription. 3-D comics, if stared at too long, strain my eyes and give me a headache. The color separations and the clarity of printing cause my eyes to have to focus, quite a bit, and it starts to irritate quickly. I exaggerated a little, as the length of time I try to read affects how stressed my eyes get. That said, I did see Captain Eo, at Epcot, many years back and that gave me a really bad headache. Not quite a migraine, but bad enough. I have skipped 3D movies ever since.

I grew up with SCTV, so 3D doesn't bother me in the least.

I haven't gotten headaches, just annoyed. Doesn't help that those anaglyph glasses don't fit comfortably with my regular glasses.

My vote goes for the cult classic, Midnight Cowboy II. Starring Dr. Tongue and Woody Tobias Jr., of course!
"Howdy y'all! Seven & Seven, y'all!"

Curious...has anyone here ever insured your comic books collection?
Wonder what a premium for that would be like if you valued it at $50k, 100k, 200k etc.
There, I got my agent excited.

It's usually 1% to 2% per year. So not cheap.

Joe Flaherty was the funniest IMO. I always found Candy the funniest performer, but Flaherty was the best impressionist. The other members all point to Flaherty as the one who could pick out a specific character trait that would help them key in on an impression. Flaherty's William F Buckley was a hoot, especially one Firing Line spoof they did, where he is tearing into a child's argument that he liked something. My favorite sketches were always the Bob & Doug McKenzie stuff, with the Dr Tongue and Bruno/Woody Tobias Jr stuff a close second (with or without Monster Chiller Horror Theater) Loved Andrea Martin's Edna Boil, especially after Tex walks out on her (in mid-commercial) and she then goes hunting for a replacement and even ends up with a dog, for Rex and Edna Boil's Curio Emporium. (Bring the kiddies). Back when they had the NBC show, I was never wild about the Sammy Maudlin stuff; but, I think I get it more , as an adult and enjoy it more now.
