Sprouse doesn’t do the full interiors. There is a rotating list of guest artists who pencil the flashback stories.

Including Dave Gibbons, whose work I've always liked.

I have the entire Tom Strong ABC run and I found the stories to be meh. There's just not enough drama. It seemed like Tom always had the solution without a struggle.

I absolutely love Tom Strong, it's probably my favorite Moore work honestly in terms of something I can go back and revisit. He was just on fire in the late 90's, you had that and Top 10, the original League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, and I still need to read Promethea from this time come to think of it.
I found Tom Strong to be really intelligent, plenty of great homage type stuff going on but also a fun ride in its own way. Totally enjoy the art from Sprouse and company as well. A lot of good memories reading these and a lot of other stuff from this time.

So, the Tom Strong compendium... Worth it or not?

I'm not a fan of Tom Strong at all, but I'm not the market for its brand of nostalgic storytelling. I'm the market for Halo Jones, Swamp Thing, Watchmen and From Hell, not the comic books Moore grew up on.

You are free to love or hate 1963... it's all fair game... EXCEPT FOR THIS There is no debate... this is one of the funniest things ever written for comics. That was funny, but it has nothing on the "Monster Size Commies"

Finally, someone else with an epicurean sensibility regarding Tom Strong! Thank you, and pay no heed to these stone-hurling philistines. I got your back.

I thought the Tom Strong stories in Terrific Tales were quaint and enjoyable.

So, the Tom Strong compendium... Worth it or not? Hell, yes! Well, until Moore leaves the series. None of the ABC books were worth a lick after Moore. He didn't directly write Terra Obscura but he pretty much put it together, as well as the team who did it.

So, the Tom Strong compendium... Worth it or not? Any of those compendium books are certainly worth it, especially if you can find them for a good price - I picked up the first Milestone compendium and the two Starman volumes at considerably marked down prices (I snagged the second Starman book for about $15). The Tom Strong Compendium is pretty high on my current want-list.

Late addition to the "Image in the 90's" discussion we were having a short while ago here, but I forgot Pitt started at Image during that time before moving to Full Bleed. Gotta say, I did enjoy that title as well!

Worse than rebooting the numbering on titles are the one-off issues like issue #0.5 or #1.50. Just release a special, please.
