Late addition to the "Image in the 90's" discussion we were having a short while ago here, but I forgot Pitt started at Image during that time before moving to Full Bleed. Gotta say, I did enjoy that title as well!
I had no idea Brad Pitt did comics work for Image!

Is today (Oct 30) the Punisher's 50th anniversary? Have a good one Frank. I know you're hated by many but I'd have a coffee with you anytime. In a world full of costumed heroes I like the dark, broody, violent and vengeful type. Which is why I have Equalizer 3 on heavy rotation but I digress....I have a 100% run of everything from 2000 up, especially MAX books. I'll disown Marvel if they ever cancel him.

So, the Tom Strong compendium... Worth it or not? Worth it, if you don't have the whole run. I am disappointed it does not include Terra Obscura, tho.

Well, if you are talking the two minis, he isn't a part of those; so, I can see why those wouldn't be included. If it was a Terra Obscura Compendium, then I would expect the two minis, plus the Tom Strong storyline that introduced the parallel world and the rescue of the heroes of SMASH

How to ruin a rare TPB
- paste a stupid oversized green sticker on it because it accentuates the cover artwork
- make sure it doesn't peel off easily because unsightly residue makes the cover look better
- make sure it's about 10x larger than it really needs to me, if it really has to be pasted there

In-store price labels that won't come off properly or won't come off without damaging the item they are stuck to are a real annoyance. In particular, as a record collector, price stickers that can't be removed without damaging the album sleeve are awful. There oughta be a law against them! (First World problems).

It is annoying. I've found that soaking the label in some adhesive remover liquid often helps. But some of them won't come off even with that - mostly very old ones that have obviously been stuck on there for ages, though.

Nail polish remover (acetone) generally removes any adhesive - I usually soak a cotton ball or a corner of a cotton dish cloth with it and then apply it to the surface after completely removing the top layer of the sticker. It's good to have another clean cloth or paper towel to immediately wipe the surface after applying the acetone. However, this method should only be used on newer books with laminated or similar covers - like that Warriors book pictured above. Using it on, say, paperback books published prior to the early 1980s is not advisable, as the acetone will also remove the ink on the cover itself.

But usually only if the surface is laminated. If it's matt, like some record covers, it's no good.

I also remember the big distributor stickers on US comics that were sold in corner shops. Now, comic stores didn’t do that, but even in the late 90s, some corner shops and the like were still stocking them. I really don’t want my copy of The Incredible Hulk #474 to have an unwieldy sticker on it. Why would I care what the name of the distributor is?

Yep! Dog-eared tatty-poo copies sell for upwards of $50

As @hots stated, Yes... it is. Super-low print runs throughout the entire floppy series combined with niche cult-fan marketing, and even the later Dynamite-produced books suffer from poor distribution and low print runs.
