Great last line there! Yes, that settlement is the one I was referring to. The notion that these "savages" were aligned with the devil were just another example of the notion that the first whites in Massachusetts (and elsewhere) were doing the Lord's work when they either converted or killed the natives. And though the total number of Jews killed in the Holocaust is six million, the toll you cite for native Americans is the same estimate I've seen, too. Talk about being able to compartmentalize... Sigh, that's what I get for trusting my memory and not fact checking these days. -M "Welcome to my world," as Grandpa Simpson says.

Paradox, who gives a whole new dimension to the question 'breast or thigh'.

cooperEven though I stand by what I said earlier about the whole idea of the holiday I wanted to vote for this cover because I think it stands out as a well-executed piece of comic book art. Sale is one of several contemporary American comic-book artists that I think highly talented but never seem to work on a book I want to read.

Farrar.
The unbelievable scene of promised violence as an axe squares off against a tommygun, has to get my vote for shear goofiness. And, you would never see a comedic cover like that today with the overly sensitive Internet hit squad ready to pounce on anything even remotely funny.

pinkfloydsound17 gets my vote this week. Conan getting tied up and bobbed like a turkey/suckling pig is too good...

I like Mecha's, because of the contrast between the giant super-realistic turkey and the cartoony heroes. I also like Farrar's, for the reasons icc stated so well, but I am going with another "inappropriate" cover that shows the similarity between a warty, wattled, caruncled, snood-bedecked turkey and an older woman.
Thus my vote goes to DE Sinclair
